ECRM is a container application to which any ECRM compliant application module can be integrated as a plug-in. ECRM framework is developed on n-tier application architecture and provides a scalable yet efficient and secured application runtime environment. It helps to maintain the application integrity and security and also provides the important application services like user management and authentication services, distributed document management services and task, alert and mailing services that can be utilized by any ECRM compliant application, plugged into the system. It has its own data management services where XML acts as the meta-data bridge over the out-of-process communications between application layers (binary .net remoting architecture). ECRM is deployed over multiple servers including web application servers, persistent layer servers, document servers and database servers. ECRM in true sense can be called a platform by itself.
