DPS Technologies offers several front-end content production capabilities, including SGML/XML/HTML document structuring, copy-editing, typesetting, as well as e-deliverables for book, journal and electronic media publishing.

We work with both modern and traditional, technically advanced material, and content. We work with non-standard characters, specific character sets, various marginal standards, as well as databases created solely for the customer's satisfaction. We extensively convert language databases, while our expertise include both Roman character based languages (e.g. Latin, Russian, Danish, other Cyrillic's etc), as well as non-Roman character based languages (e.g. Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, and simplified Chinese etc.).

Additionally, our sources for such material include microfilmed newspapers and documents; financial, medical, legal, real-estate, and insurance forms; documents stored on film, cassettes, CDs, in virtually and medium, or format.

We have tremendous expertise in archiving as well, by generating Adobe PDF files. The end product can be created, and viewed upon, according to the customer's detailed request. Often these include full resolution printing, as well as online-fitted imaging.

We create these PDFs from virtually any source, with additional compatibility measures, such as navigational aids, external links, security measures, indices, and project-appropriate abstracts. In addition to these specific customer-based needs, we have worked in-depth with 'drag 'n' drop' production processes, that result in the highest quality text, color images, and tones, available in today's market.

We scan our images and text individually, and then compile them using the 'drop'. This results in having a proven track record of superior images, and file sizes that are on an average of 75% smaller "whole-document scanning" at a high resolution. This reduces cost and required storage space for the customer, saving them an immense amount of personal time.

We scan our documents from both original, and edited forms, cards, handwritten documents, photographic prints, as well as transparencies (color, gray, black and white). Once the image is captured, we store it in various file formats (e.g. GIF, PICT, SPIFF, TIFF etc.), and resolutions, depending on the customer's needs. For best results, we use "proprietary image optimization and enhancement technologies", that perfects the image, and removes any unwanted disturbances that may have appeared on the original documents.

Our programs are designed to automatically detect any non-conformity (e.g. contrast, brightness etc). Such optimization results in the most superior quality of images, regardless of the blotchiness of the original document. Depending on the scope of the project, we have the resources to secure hundreds of workstations, scanners, and manual labor, to produce the best output in the most efficient way possible.
